Larger glitters can be difficult to use if you are not used to them.
These are my top tips 
1 - Shake well
2 - Turn the bottle upside down ( closed of course ) for a few minutes before using. This helps to bring the glitters up to the surface.
3 - Immediately after, dip the brush in and VERY quickly take it out. If you take your time taking the brush back out of the bottle, the larger glitters will just slide back off the brush. You can use the neck of the bottle to help get them out too.
4 - Dab, don't swipe. Instead of applying like a normal polish, you want to dab or pat the polish on. This helps place the glitters where you want them rather than dragging them off the nail.
Use a thick coat so you can move them around easily.
5 - Use 2 coats of top coat for a smooth glossy finish.
